Trying to be a booger, Oh I mean blogger

I am not sure how this all works, but I am going to give it a shot. It is a new year so I might as well learn something new and use this as a journal as well. We have had an eventful year to say the least. The economy has been tough on our business. My husband Brian is a contractor and like most other Contractor's it is really tough. I am a mom of 6, 3 boy's and 3 girl's. Being a Mom is of coarse the hardest job I have ever had. My oldest is 19 and is in her first year of college. My Son is a Soph. in High School. He will be 16 on the 9th of Jan. Watch out roads, here he comes!! Next I have a 12 year old. She has Auspbergers Autism and that truly challenges me physically, and emotionally. she has wonderful gifts and talents, but she also has many emotional issues that are exhausting to say the least. Next up is my 11 year old son. He is also very challenging but sweet when he chooses to be. He is a kind caring brother one minute and the next he can be a bully. Next up is my 8 year old son. He just got baptized in our church and has the sweetest little spirit. He loves to tattle and he also loves to make sure everyone is following all of the "wules" (rules) he has a speech problem and it makes it very hard to understand him at times. Poor kid has been in speech since he was 2 and he is sick of not being understood. Last but not least, is our 5 year old princess. She is 5 going on 25. She is smart and has a huge vocabulary of huge words and has since she was about 15 months old. She started Kindergarten in Sept and is very bored. She is learning to read and is wanting a bit more challenge in school. She tends to wander the classroom bothering others because she is done with her work. She also does her entire week of homework on Monday night.

I ahve been married to my husband Brian for 5 years but together for almost 10 now. We met when I was in the process of a brutal divorce. I had 4 kids and lets just say I was a bit sick of men at the time. He stuck with me, Or I guess he stayed persistant and look at us now. We were jsut sealed in The Temple last June I think. He had joined the church in March of 07. I was inactive for quite a few years after my divorce. I found my way back into an awesome ward, with an awesome Bishop in Jan. 07. It was the best decision I have ever made. For myself and my kids and of coarse Brian. I live on a 10 acre Ranch that the kids love. My 15 year old is involved in 4H. He shows Poultry, (Chicken's and Turkey's) We also have a llama, a goat, 2 Mules, 2 dogs, 3 barn cats...I think that is all of them.

I suffer from IBS and Chrones, which are both pretty painful diseases. I also have endometreosis which sucks also. The pain can be over whelming but I have learned to deal with it the best that I can. I shattered my left knee a while back and just had my 4th or 5th surgery on it. I have lost track. It also causes a great deal of pain but I deal with that as well. I have been lucky as far as my children's health goes. They are all very healthy strong kids. No major issues, but plenty of ER trips for stitches, bumps, concussions, dog bites....the list goes on and on. My plan with the blog is to focus on each child and write down as much as I can remember about each child and all of their stories from childhood. I will try and do that over the coarse of the next few months. I gotta go. Scott just presented me with a rediculous list for his sweet 16 party. 8 kinds of pop, 10 kinds of candy, 10 games....I better get going...
